A Womans Health Guide Not really for men... Mostly Natural

Breaking Health News for Women Over 40

Women have 2 types of energy: tense and calm. I’ve noticed that it is tense energy that women experience 90% of the time. Ultimately it is lethal.

Tense energy depends on the hormone cortisol. Cortisol is a bull elephant on a mad rampage through your body, tearing out the delicate dendrites of your brain, trampling your nervous system, and wreaking havoc on your blood, glucose, digestive and hormonal systems.

Before tense energy becomes lethal, however, it makes you sick.
Heart disease, osteoporosis, cancer, depression, memory loss, and Alzheimer’s are now understood to be among the results of continuous exposure to tense energy.

Switching from tense energy to calm energy is possible, if you know how.

And if you know how,
it will save your life.

My mother has a flawless complexion.I have been teaching women how to do this for nearly three decades and I am still amazed at the power of calm energy to turn lives around.

Within 10 days of making the switch, you will notice appreciable improvements in energy, stamina, mood, focus and even body tone. Gosh, I’ve seen women who swear I performed a miracle on them, because their lives turned a corner within two days!

But the real benefits of switching from tense energy to calm energy are longer term. You sleep better, catch fewer colds, achieve your goals with less effort, enjoy life, and develop more rewarding relationships.

Better yet, you reverse many of the symptoms of aging, protect yourself from heart disease, repair your brain, reinforce your natural cancer-shield and reverse that “10 pounds a decade” weight-creep that begins in your 40s.

6 Ways to Switch from
Tense to Calm Energy

1. If you wake up dead tired. Switch from coffee to a peppermint spray or tea. A popular alarm clock marketed in Japan emits a peppermint aroma 10 minutes before the alarm sounds, helping sleepers wake up feeling refreshed.

2. If you feel sleepy in mid-afternoon. Inhale as if you are drawing sky-blue air up through the soles of your feet. Draw it up into your pelvis. Exhale, pushing the air through the soles of your feet. Repeat slowly, drawing the sky-color up higher in your body each time, until you can breathe in, filling your body up to the crown of your head with sky-blue oxygen.

3. If you crave candy to keep going. Take one 250 mg capsule of magnesium. All cravings will vanish and your energy will soar.

4. If you’re run ragged—stimulate your entire endocrine system as follows: with your right hand, hold the point directly between the eyebrows, where the bridge of your nose meets your forehead. Hold for 3 minutes.

5. If you need to be on top of your game quickly. Athletes know this trick. Four finger widths below your right knee cap, towards the outside of your shinbone you’ll find a sensitive point. Hold this point with your cupped left hand for up to 3 minutes.

6. If your sex life is stuck in low gear. The smell of cucumber and Licorice Allsorts induces sexual arousal in many women. (Unfortunately, most male colognes have been found to turn women off!)

You’re not bad-tempered
—you are selenium-depleted.

Our soil and our foods used to be laced with selenium but now it is stripped out by fertilizers and irradiation.

Because selenium is a vital component of brain tissue, lack of this mineral shows up as depression, anger or just crankiness. Selenium-depletion is associated with:
• arthritis • osteoporosis
• breast cancer • ovarian cancer
• endometriosis • repetitive strain injury
• heart disease • thyroid disease
• MS

A little brewer’s yeast will improve your mood very rapidly. Precise doses in The Women’s Pharmacy.

You aren’t irritable
—you lack calcium.

Calcium deficiency causes irritability and cramps. Without calcium you can’t release the hormone norepinephrine, which, like serotonin, controls mood.

But never take calcium on its own. Take 500 mg with 250 mg of magnesium before bedtime.

The Woman-Wise Advantage—Oxytocin

Women have a special “anti-stress” hormone that lowers blood pressure, stops cortisol damage and promotes wound healing. The hormone is oxytocin and it is triggered by another female hormone, estrogen. Breast stimulation, orgasm, and just plain talk release oxytocin.

Women have more stress than men, and it’s often more damaging to their hormonal balances. But we are also blessed with a natural antidote and you don’t need a prescription to get it. My prescription: Call a friend or make a new one.

You are not depressed
—you are depleted of amino acids.

The more stress you are under, the more neurotransmitters are released. Neurotransmitters are chemicals created by amino acids out of proteins from your diet. Their job is to relay electrical messages around your body. You can quickly deplete your store of these chemicals, which in turn causes more stress—only this time the body cannot help itself.

That’s when you get sick and depressed.

It’s easy to test your neurotransmitter levels (I spell it out in The Women’s Pharmacy) but even easier to boost your levels of amino acids.

I’ve used these for many years and my patients often report dramatic results. Mood swings vanish, fatigue is replaced with energy, depression, pain and anxiety roll back like banks of clouds. One particular amino acid also stimulates your metabolism, making it a snap to lose weight—and keep it off.

Warning: Many prescriptions deplete your neurotransmitters. Ironically, most antidepressants do this! And women on a low protein, high-carb diet also have low levels of neurotransmitters.

It’s not a weakness
—it’s a strength!

That very womanly feeling of compassion is also every woman’s first line of defense. A recent study demonstrated that a feeling of compassion releases huge amounts of IgA into the body. IgA (immuno-globulin A) is an antibody found in the mucus of the lungs, digestive tract and urinary tract as well as in saliva.

With high amounts of IgA, you won’t get colds, flu, bladder infections or other common problems.

So indulge your natural urge to nurture, empathize, and relate to others. It’s your unique source of strength!

Use a kidney bean to give yourself
the best night’s sleep of your life!

Tape a kidney bean to the inside of your right wrist, three finger widths below
the crease of your wrist.

Now try to stay awake!

You have just found one of the most powerful sleep-promoting points in Oriental medicine.

If you doubt that it works, try it tonight, just before you go to sleep. My patients have been amazed and they’ve stopped taking their tranquilizers, sleeping pills, and antidepressants.
